The rev of engines. The scent of leather and exhaust drifting through the summer air. Chrome glinting under the sun. It can only mean one thing—Americade is back in Lake George, New York. Since 1983, this massive motorcycle rally has grown into one of the largest multi-brand touring events in the world, attracting over 50,000 motorcyclists and countless spectators each year. It’s not just a spectacle of horsepower and custom paint—it’s a mission field teeming with opportunity. For us, it’s a great time to share the Gospel.
Now, bikers have a bit of a reputation. Tough. Rugged. Maybe a little intimidating at first glance. Leather jackets, tattoos, big bikes, louder personalities. But we don’t see hardened rebels—we see souls. People with stories, burdens, regrets, and needs. People just like the rest of us, whether they ride a Harley or a Honda. And at the end of the day, they are souls in need of a Savior. That’s what drives us to hit the streets of Lake George—not for entertainment or applause, but to offer hope in the form of a cold bottle of water and a Gospel tract.

Last year, we didn’t roll up with tents or loudspeakers. We simply walked the streets, handed out water, and shared the truth. It’s a simple approach, but powerful. It brings to mind the story of the woman at the well in John chapter 4. She came for physical water, but Jesus offered her something so much greater—living water. In verses 13 and 14, we read: “Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” That moment transformed her, and she immediately ran to tell others. Jesus saw her need and met it right where she was—just as He still does today.
It’s that same compassion and urgency that pushes us into the heart of Americade. This world is full of people looking for something to quench their thirst—something lasting, something real. The motorcycles, the rally, the music, the crowd—it may look like excitement, but under it all, so many are spiritually parched. And just as Jesus told His disciples in John 4:35, “Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” That wasn’t just true in Samaria—it’s true today. The problem isn’t the lack of a harvest. The issue is a lack of laborers willing to go.

That’s why we’re going again this year. On Saturday, May 31st, we’ll meet at the church at 6:00 PM and head over to Lake George by 7:00 PM. With cold water and Gospel tracts in hand, we’ll walk the streets—not to shake things up, but to bring peace to hearts that are thirsty for something real. We remember Jesus’ words in Matthew 9:37–38: “Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”
This isn’t about putting on a show. It’s not about us. It’s about Him. About souls. About bringing the Living Water to those who are dry and searching. We don’t know whose heart might be ready. We just know the field is white—and we’re willing to go.

Will you be praying? Will you lift up your eyes with us? Whether you ride a motorcycle or not, you can take part in this outreach through your prayers, encouragement, and you can go with us. We’re going to Americade to do what Jesus called us to do—share the Gospel, one bottle, one tract, one soul at a time.
